High Street Motor Inn is Stanthorpe's first motel and was originally a three room building built in the mid 1950's and then expanded in the early 70's. The Aussie Beef Steakhouse opened in 2008 attached to the motel reception and has seen a dramatic increase in profit over the last 8 years.

The property underwent a $1.2 million rebuild/refurb in 2014 due to a tornado. Some of the key features of this business include:
- It is located in an ideal position at the entrance into Stanthorpe on the main street as it is the first building travellers will see as they enter town from the Brisbane direction.
- Located directly opposite the showgrounds, this is a popular choice for accommodation during any hosted events.
- This is the only motel in town with an onsite restaurant, and therefore very popular with coach groups as well as corporate travellers looking for a meal & accommodation package.
- The onsite restaurant, the "Aussie Beef Steakhouse" is itself very popular with local patrons as well as tourists. It seats 60 people comfortably and with very high ratings online the business has seen increases in profit steadily over the last three years.
- The Motel has 20 rooms comprising of Double, Queen, twin and family including one with wheelchair access. All rooms have undercover parking, free wifi & room service breakfast/dinner is available.
- The motel building was hit by a freak tornado in 2013 and was de roofed. Over the next four months it was extensively rebuilt and refurbished and all of the building was brought up to current code. Renovation costs were in excess of $1 Million dollars. After the renovations were completed, there was a dramatic increase in business. (ie 12 months before the storm, the average 12 month occupancy rate was 34%, while the next 12 months of occupancy average 45% 1 May 2015 - 1 May 2016)
- The Landlord has recently finished a full renovation of the motel building exterior with it being rendered, featuring timber slat columns, modern tiles and painted. There are a few more renovations to be done before it is completed, including an undercover deck area for guests next to reception and the reception stairs to be tiled.

There is scope to create even larger profits such as increased trading hours in the restaurant (Currently only operates 5 evenings per week).

The Manager's residence sits conveniently behind the main office and provides easy access to the motel reception and kitchen.

Please note that after the storm which devastated the building in November 2013, all of the contents were replaced for re-opening in March 2014, along with a full refurbishment of the interior, including all electrical, internal plumbing and tiling.
